Each of our dogs receives special attention and care each day. The family style set up allows our dogs to have the luxury of running and romping around the family homestead freely.

Following the tradition of AKC breeding, we at McGoldens, have all our puppies AKC registered, vet certified, have their first shots, are dewormed, and AKC Reunite Chipped done before coming to your home.

We strive to improve the breed by having OFA for hips, elbows, knees, ophthalmology and cardiology clearances. Genetic testing has also performed to help us make wise choices for the best pairing to produce the best probability of an excellent healthy puppy. (DNA/Genetic testing on our dogs for the Golden Retriever Breed: ichthyosis, degenerative myelopathy, GR-PRA 1 and 2, prcd-PRA, and Muscular Dystrophy)

The temperament and well balanced, friendly companion are all the classic traits of the Golden Retriever, which is our highest importance of consideration. When you bring your puppy home, copies of the paperwork for both parents is given pertaining the OFA and genetic test results .

We perform Early Neurological Stimulation on all of our puppies, which is said to give them a superior advantage. This is done by doing five exercises that place minor stressors on the puppies from day three to day sixteen. The exercises will produce neurological stimulations that don’t naturally occur during this early period of life. These exercises impact the neurological system by kicking it into action earlier than would be normally expected, creating calmer dogs in adolescence and adulthood.
